Resilience Building in Chaotic Times

If you are anything like me
you can feel the tensions that are so alive in these times
you can feel how profoundly the challenges in front of us
are shaping the character of your relationships
the content of your conversations
the way you look at the other
and decide whether they are with you or against you.
It is an active unraveling of the fabric of community
this act of dividing people
into the ones with whom you agree
and the ones with whom you do not.
How can you respond to the deep and growing divisions among people today?
It can be challenging
to see beyond the difference
to see what you share
and to feel a sense of togetherness
in this ever so isolating culture.
How can you choose, despite the separations, to cultivate meaningful relationships, even with the ones with whom you disagree?
Reweaving the fabric of community is a choice.
Choosing to see what you share opens the possibility to connect.
