How much does it need to hurt, this pervasive loneliness, eating away at our hearts until we are so frozen, so unwilling to express our true emotions, that we can hardly imagine what intimacy looks like anymore…
How painful does it need to become until we reach out?
It’s so hard for me to see how quickly we are willing to label the other, to announce where I stand, to put a sign on my lawn saying that I belong to this political tribe and not the other.
When will we learn that these ideas don’t need to separate us? When will we realize that we all have the same needs?
What is the wake up call we need in order to recognize what is not working?
We can find our way back to togetherness by really listening to one another, by sharing, by speaking our truths and being willing to be vulnerable.
It can be so hard to be vulnerable in this time of crisis, of fear. Yet, we all are so vulnerable right now, together.
It has been a privilege to share the virtual space of the women’s collective — Return to Your Animal Body — with a group of beautiful souls, a community speaking the language of the cycle, remembering, together, how we can communicate with the water that lives within us, follow her guidance to be well. We are, after all, bodies of water, attracted to one another, like the river is drawn to the sea. They are different waters, the river and the sea, and they are also the same. Like us.
