Gratitude for 2024

What a year this has been. 

In the traditions in which I have been taught 

The people come together

to celebrate the seasons

venerating the sacred calendar 

of the wheel of life. 

How do you celebrate this turning of the seasons? 

How do you recognize this moment of darkness?

What will you renew as the light returns? 

I am carrying a prayer

to truly recognize 

the blessings in my life

I am committed to integrating

a consciousness of gratitude 

in the deepest way that I can

to humbly notice

all that is

the beauty that surrounds me

the gifts that live in my relations

with others

and with myself. 

When we take the time to notice

we are an expression of gratitude. 

May this year bring us the possibility to be gratitude

to live the endless expression of generosity 

that is the relationship between the earth

and her children. 

Thank you that I have the possibility to be generous. 

Thank you to all that is generous with me. 

May this be a most blessed year for us all. 

May this be a a year where we listen well to one another

especially to those with whom we disagree. 

May we have the humility and the courage to listen to the waters.
